  • I am thrilled when clients feel their clinical team is supportive! Doulas are a unique source of support in the perinatal period, that are there for you on a day-to-day basis, with concerns, questions, goals, etc. I am also very much of the collaboration + partnership mindset with clinical teams, so that we can work together to facilitate the experience you are working towards.

  • Most insurance plans do not cover doula services, however, some partially or fully reimburse for the investment. I am considered in-network with CARROT Fertility - check with your employer to see if this is a benefit you are entitled to!

I accept FSA/HSA, credit/debit cards, and Venmo. If you need a “Letter of Medical Necessity” to have your insurance plan and/or FSA/HSA cover doula expenses, I can collaborate with your provider as needed to secure this. Please note, a due date is held and doula services start once a contract and deposit are received.

  • The standard payment structure is 50% due at the time of contract signing, and the remaining 50% balance is due by 32 weeks of pregnancy. It’s never too early or too late for us to start working together, so if we connect before you conceive or after 32 weeks gestation, I will work with you to design a payment structure that suits both of us. If you need more frequent, but smaller installments, I can be flexible.

  • Many baby registries now offer cash funds/doula funds, which allow your friends and family to contribute specifically for doula services. Gifting service instead of “things” is a beautiful way for your circle to show you love!

“I had a number of fears going into birthing at a hospital (even though I knew it was the right choice for us), and Marissa worked through each one with me with love and compassion, to help me feel at ease with our decision. We are very happy with the choices we made with Marissa‘s help!”.
